Conor Talty missed a 28-yard field goal in the first half against Eastern Illinois, and boo birds took flight.
Alabama fans voiced their disapproval of the missed kick.
Later in the first half, fans booed Talty as he walked onto the field to attempt an extra point, which he made.
“I’d wish they’d have (his) back like I know our locker room has his back,” Alabama coach Kalen DeBoer said. “He’s working hard and he had a great week of practice. I don’t think he missed one all week and put him all over the place. He’s going to keep plugging away and just want everyone to support him. He’s just like every other player on our football team, giving everything he has.”
The missed field goal didn’t end up mattering as No. 10 Alabama thrashed Eastern Illinois 56-0 on Saturday at Bryant-Den
