BIRMINGHAM, Ala. —
The interim head coach for the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) football team spoke after the game about two players who were stabbed on campus by another player on Saturday.

The team had chosen to still play the game. Some members did choose to sit out.
"We spoke as a team and those guys really wanted to play today. And really, the conversation went back to the seniors. With it being senior day, they wanted to play for them and give them an opportunity to go out and play," Interim head coach Alex Mortensen said.
He added that everyone has the opportunity to seek counseling and the players know that help is available. Once players decided they wanted to play, they focused on getting into the normal routine of
