EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - Officials say a drunk driver crashed Saturday morning in Evansville and caused serious injuries.
Evansville Police responded to an accident with injuries around 9:30 a.m. Saturday morning off of SE Second Street.
They say a black Honda Civic had been pushed off the road with extensive rear-end damage, a parked car nearby was damaged and silver Nissan had front damage.
Officers on scene say the passenger of the silver Nissan was unconscious, seriously injured and had to be extricated from the vehicle.
The driver of the black Honda Civic was also injured.
The driver of the silver Nissan, 47-year-old Martin Stephen, appeared to be drunk when he got out of the car.
According to crash reconstructionists and witnesses on scene, Stephen was going as a high rate of
