EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - Officials say one person was shot in an officer-involved shooting in Evansville.

According to police on scene, a call came in around 8:30 p.m. for a family dispute in the Unit Block of E Louisiana street.

Officials say an officer arrived on scene and shot a person who reached for what was believed to be a weapon.

They say the person was transported to the hospital, and the officer was taken off scene.

No officers were injured.

The person’s condition is unknown.

Authorities say the area will be blocked off as police investigate.
