BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) - The Beverage Warehouse is hosting its annual Hops for Hunger event, partnering with Vermont breweries to raise money for area food shelves.

The fundraiser features grab bags containing hard-to-get beers and merchandise from participating breweries. The bags are stapled shut and include surprise items. Each bag costs $27.

“We like bringing product to our customers that they love every day, but the fact that we get to do that while providing support for Vermonters especially this time of year with the holidays coming and wanting everyone to be as well fed, and taken care of as they possibly can be, it’s special,” said Marc Gelsomino of Beverage Warehouse.

This marks the 11th year the Winooski store has organized the fundraiser, and they’ll now have donated $80,000
