ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — A man was shot in the leg at a northwest Atlanta intersection overnight, according to police.

At around midnight on Saturday, officers were called to Joseph E. Boone Boulevard NW and Joseph E. Lowery Boulevard NW, where they found a 33-year-old man with a gunshot wound.

The man was taken to the hospital, where he is expected to recover.

Police believe the shooting started as a fight between the victim and another man. It’s unknown if any suspects are in custody.
