Virginia Tech concluded its 2025 home schedule with a 34-17 loss to No. 13 Miami on Saturday afternoon. The defeat dropped the Hokies to 3-8 overall and 2-5 in ACC competition, while the Hurricanes improved to 9-2 overall and 5-2 in the conference.

Miami set the tone early, scoring on their opening drive with an eight-play march capped by a 20-yard touchdown pass. Virginia Tech responded on its first possession with a 30-yard field goal from Kyle Lowe, marking the first field goal of his career. Lowe, wearing the number 25 jersey for the fifth time, handled all of the Hokies’ placekicking duties.

The Hurricanes gradually pulled away, building a 20-3 lead by halftime through a combination of touchdowns and field goals over three separate scoring drives.
