J’Mari Taylor delivered a rare two-way performance on Saturday night, becoming the first ACC running back since 2021 to both rush for a touchdown and throw one in the same game, as No. 17 Virginia rolled past Virginia Tech 27–7 to secure a spot in the conference championship game.
Taylor totaled 80 rushing yards and a score, while quarterback Chandler Morris threw for 182 yards and added an 8-yard touchdown run. Their efforts helped Virginia break a longstanding trend, earning just its second win over the Hokies in the last 21 matchups.
