New weather maps have forecast heavy snowfall across the UK with snow set to blanket the nation as the country moves away from autumn and into depths of winter
Brits are set to face an onslaught of snowfall in the coming days with seven UK cities forecast to bear the brunt.
New maps from WXCharts, which uses Met Desk data , shows snowstorms stretching down from the Highlands down to the North West of England. By 12am on December 4, snow will begin to call in Cumbria, Lancashire, Greater Manchester , the Scottish Borders and Highlands.
Just six hours later, as much as two inches of snow will accumulate in the North West and some 4 inches being packed across the Highlands. Similar amounts of snow will remain in both regions by 12pm that day.
