A married teacher who paid students for sex and provided them with drugs and alcohol has been jailed for 10 years.

Carissa Jane Smith, 30, was caught giving students $100 (£76) or more, either in cash or through CashApp, in exchange for sex. Smith is also alleged to have given the children alcohol and marijuana. The ex-substitute teacher was arrested in November last year and charged with 19 offences, including statutory rape and child sex trafficking. She pleaded guilty to lesser charges this September.

A series of shocking allegations were laid bare in court , including one case in which a student claimed Smith forced him to ejaculate inside her. She also allegedly "smashed" a student’s phone when he said he had a video of her performing oral sex.
