FRONT ROYAL — A new collaboration is bringing new and gently used clothes and essentials to Warren County students in need.

Front Royal-based Hike Kidz Foundation has teamed up with Boxes of Basics, a Prince William County nonprofit, to provide to each child eight seasonally appropriate outfits for school and play, a dressy outfit, and pajamas along with new shoes, socks, and underwear. Each child also receives a warm winter coat, a hygiene kit and age-appropriate books.

On Wednesday, a moving truck filled with 50 boxes for local children rolled into Hike Kidz’ headquarters on North Royal Avenue.

Harmony Hike, who founded Hike Kidz last fall with her husband Aaron, said that Boxes of Basics founder Sarah Tyndall reached out to her this summer about the possibility of partnering.
