A late-night shooting left a 19-year-old woman dead and two 20-year-old men wounded in Hempstead on Saturday, Nov. 22, the Homicide Squad announced on Sunday, Nov. 23.

Officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert near Willow Avenue and Kennedy Avenue at 10:50 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 22, according to detectives. When they arrived, police found three victims suffering from gunshot wounds.

A 19-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene by a Northwell paramedic, investigators said. Two male victims, both 20, were rushed to a nearby hospital, where they remain in stable condition, according to the release.

No further details about a suspect or motive were immediately available. The investigation is ongoing.
