BRANFORD, Conn. (WFSB) - An investigation is underway after a serious crash in Branford on early Sunday morning.

At around 2:07 a.m. first responders were called to the area of Brushy Plain Road after a report of a crash, the police department said.

When crews arrived, they found a car that veered off the roadway, rolled over and crashed into a home.

On scene officers quickly went into the home and found one person who was suffering from serious injuries and was entrapped.

The victim and the driver were transported to a nearby hospital.

Officials said the home also sustained significant structural damage and was deemed “uninhabitable.”

This incident remains under investigation at this time.
