Senior Alex Donoghue scored the game-winning goal in double overtime off a corner kick from teammate Lucy Arps to send Chatham to a 3-2 victory over Shawn in the NJSIAA Group 3 championship game on Sunday in Franklin.

This is the fourth state championship in program history for Chatham and the second state title in three years for the Cougars, who beat Shawnee in the Group 3 final back in 2023.

Donoghue tallied a goal and assist in the victory. Arps scored a goal and dished out a game-high two assists in the victory.
