The beloved and iconic Dean House in downtown Woodstock has stood the test of time and this year is celebrating 150 years since the stately brick dwelling was built in 1875.
The house, now serving as an office, was owned by the prominent family it is named for almost 100 years and is the oldest surviving house in the city.
To honor the significant anniversary of the house on East Main Street, the Woodstock City Council presented a resolution to descendants of the Dean family at its Nov. 17 council meeting.
