CINCINNATI, Ohio — Joe Burrow’s return to the field for Sunday’s game against the Patriots looked like a real possibility up until Saturday when the team did not activate him from injured reserve.
During his post-game press conference, Bengals coach Zac Taylor explained why he decided to go to Joe Flacco and sit Burrow for at least one more game.
“I thought he put himself in a great position to be ready to play this weekend and the best decision for us was to wait a couple more days,” Taylor told reporters after Sunday’s 26-20 loss .
