WEST HARTFORD, Conn. (WFSB) - The Goff Family Foundation has hosted a turkey giveaway in West Hartford on Sunday morning.

“We’ve had people from all over the state to come pick up turkeys today,” said Brooke Goff, Founder of Goff Family Foundation.

From live music and free pizza to hundreds of free turkeys and pies handed out to families in need for Thanksgiving.

The Goff Family Foundation was on a mission, making sure no family went without a turkey for their dinner table.

“The U-Haul behind us is full of 550 turkeys and 55 pies,” noted Goff. “People do not know they getting pies. Behind is the pizza truck who is ready to serve over 1,000 people.”

Founder Brooke Goff said in order to receive a turkey, each household had to register ahead of time on Eventbrite.
