HOMEWOOD, Ala. —
Changes are coming to the city of Homewood. The city council voted unanimously in April to allow Andrews Sports Medicine to move into Brookwood Village, but there’s still work that needs to be done to bring the project full circle. The city is hosting a public hearing on Monday to push the final part of the project forward.
The last business in Brookwood Village closed nearly a year ago when Five Guys shut its doors. That left the former mall completely vacant. Now, Andrews Sports Medicine is expected to breathe new life into the area. The company will move into the former Belk space after it sat vacant for seven years.
