PITTSBURGH —

An arrest warrant has been issued for a 48-year-old man after police said he allegedly pepper-sprayed and stabbed a person in Downtown Pittsburgh Sunday night.

According to a criminal complaint obtained Tuesday, police and additional emergency responders were called to the 900 block of Liberty Avenue following reports of a man being stabbed.

The incident happened around 10:15 p.m.

When officials arrived on the scene, they said a man was found sitting inside The Exchange store with a stab wound to his back and upper shoulder. The complaint also said the man had been pepper-sprayed.

He was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
