One of two men who has been on trial accused of unlawfully killing a "fragile and vulnerable" 33-year-old after he was allegedly attacked twice in two days has been found not guilty of manslaughter.

Shane Norley was cleared by a jury at Maidstone Crown Court this morning (Nov 24) after the judge, Mrs Justice Norton, had ruled at the conclusion of legal argument that there was no case to answer for the 37-year-old in respect of Josh Ingram's death on April 2 last year.

As a result of her decision, which the judge said was made following consideration of evidence from five medical experts, the jury had to formally return a not guilty verdict to the charge.
