UNION CITY, Tenn. (WMC) - Union City Police Department and the Obion County Sheriff’s Office are investigating a shooting at a local nightclub that left one person dead and several others injured overnight Sunday.

According to Union City police, officers answered a shots-fired call just after 12:30 a.m. at the Volume Lounge, 202 Railroad Street. Multiple gunshots reportedly came from inside the building.

Responding officers found multiple people suffering from gunshot wounds. One of the injured was transported to a hospital and later pronounced dead. Authorities have identified the victim as 23-year-old Omariyon Harper.

Investigators have identified a person of interest and are working to locate that individual as the investigation continues.
