EARLE, Ark. (WMC) - A 12-year-old boy is recovering in the hospital after being shot Sunday evening on Arkansas Street in Earle.

Crittenden County Sheriff Mike Allen says the boy was struck in the crossfire. The shooting occurred at about 5:15 p.m. along Arkansas Street near Commerce Street and Rogers Road.

Investigators have identified two suspects and are actively working to locate and arrest them.

Authorities have not released the names of the boy or the suspects, and no additional details about the suspects’ identities or motive have been made public.
