BERNALILLO COUNTY, N.M. —

As families prepare for Thanksgiving gatherings, local officials are urging residents to make responsible choices on the road.

The "Take a Ride on Us" program is once again offering safe ride options throughout the holiday weekend, aiming to curb impaired driving during one of the busiest travel periods of the year.

From 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 26, through 2 a.m. Monday, Dec. 1, residents in Bernalillo, Sandoval and Santa Fe counties can use the Uber app to claim discounted rides.

By entering the code NMTURKEY25 under the app's vouchers tab, users can receive up to $10 off two trips. The offer is limited to 2,500 rides and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
