Chefs Jamie Oliver and Nigella Lawson have paid tribute to an 'inspirational' celebrity chef who has died just days after her mother. Australian Skye Gingell died at the age of 62 after a year-long battle with skin cancer.
Skye, a mum of two, was known for her work as food editor for Vogue and for calling winning the Michelin Star she was awarded in 2011 a 'curse'. Her family confirmed her death in a statement and hailed her legacy.
They said: "We are deeply saddened to share news of Skye Gyngell's passing on 22nd November in London, surrounded by her family and loved ones. She leaves behind a remarkable legacy and is an inspiration to us all."
