Watch what pets eat

Many Thanksgiving dishes can be dangerous for animals. Fatty foods like gravy, stuffing, turkey skin and drippings can cause vomiting or pancreatitis. Cooked bones in meat can also splinter and lead to choking or internal injuries. Several common ingredients at the Thanksgiving dinner table, including onions, garlic, grapes, raisins and high-sodium broths, are toxic to pets.
