Pupils across Scotland are set to benefit from a £150,000 investment aimed at transforming library services and supporting innovative learning projects.

The funding will back more than a dozen creative initiatives spanning 78 schools, and has been provided through the School Library Improvement Fund (SLIF),

Administered by the Scottish Library and Information Council (SLIC) on behalf of the Scottish Government , the scheme underpins the national strategy Vibrant Libraries, Thriving Schools.

This year’s projects will focus on areas such as employability, digital literacy, creativity and family learning.

Plans include programmes to nurture a love of reading, assist neurodiverse pupils and strengthen family engagement through shared reading experiences.
