AN acclaimed chef is set to open a new restaurant in Glasgow.
Peter McKenna, chef-owner of The Gannet, will open Eleven Fifty Five in the Finnieston area of the city early next year.
The National previously told how The Gannet is set to close on December 31 , with Eleven Fifty Five set to take its place on Argyle Street.
McKenna will open Eleven Fifty Five with Kevin Dow, who has been described as "arguably the city's most beloved Maitre D'".

The space on Argyle Street has been completely reimagined, with McKenna drawing inspiration from Parisian bistrots, travelling and his own Irish roots.
McKenna was born and raised in the border town of Monaghan in the Republic of Ireland, but has travelled the globe for his culinary career.
