Fans have paid tribute to Glasgow icon Sir Billy Connolly as he celebrates his 83rd birthday today. Loved by many Glaswegians, he has had a long career acting, singing and performing stand up comedy for over 50 years across the UK and internationally.
He has always made known his love for Scotland and told various stories from his childhood growing up in the Anderston area of the city. He has been a much-loved character for years, through his brilliant storytelling, and has found a way into the hearts of people across the globe.
