An OHL championship run is squarely in the Brantford Bulldogs’ sights.

The Bulldogs made a big move to acquire top Philadelphia Flyers prospect Jett Luchanko in a blockbuster trade with the Guelph Storm on Monday, the teams announced.

Guelph received forward Layne Gallacher and four draft selections in return.

Luchanko, 19, was a first-round pick of the Flyers in 2024, going 13th overall. A speedy centre, he has 15 assists and 17 points in 11 games for the Storm this season.

“We are incredibly excited to acquire Jett Luchanko,” Bulldogs general manager Spencer Hyman said. “Jett brings elite speed, is outstanding in the dots, and is an exceptional playmaker. He is a player who immediately makes our hockey club better. He has been a priority target for us from Day 1.”
