PHOENIX (AZFamily) — This Thursday is Thanksgiving, and an organization in Phoenix is doing Something Good to make sure thousands of people have a warm meal.
St. Vincent de Paul is preparing to feed over 5,000 people on Thanksgiving, including those experiencing homelessness, struggling to make ends meet or in need of a warm meal and hospitality on the holiday.
Chef Chris Hoffman says he and his volunteers are distributing food every day, and this week they have put in overtime preparing the Thanksgiving feast for the community.
“Our volunteers are really what help us thrive,” Hoffman said. “Just getting the food out to our guests is what really means the world to our volunteers.”
Anyone looking to volunteer can go to St. Vincent de Paul’s website to sign up.
