GROTON, Conn. (WFSB) - A Groton man was arrested Friday after police said he assaulted a woman inside a home while an infant was present.
Investigators said the suspect, Tai T. Tang, 33, struck the woman multiple times with a closed fist during the assault.
An infant child was in the room at the time, according to police.
Groton police responded to the residence around 5:08 p.m. on Nov. 21 for a report of an active disturbance.
When officers arrived, they found a female victim suffering from serious injuries, including significant trauma to her head, face, and eyes.
Tang was taken into custody and later resisted officers as they attempted to transport him for processing, resulting in an additional charge of interfering with an officer.
