CBS has released the extended trailer for Taylor Sheridan ‘s new Yellowstone spinoff Y: Marshals . It opens with a despairing Kayce Dutton ( Luke Grimes ) lamenting his losses.

“I fought every day to get out of the weight of Yellowstone,” Grimes’ Kayce says. “I’ve lost my teammates, my parents, even my brothers,” he continues as he places his hand on a tombstone. “I know that sometimes good men have to do bad things. But I’m trying to find a new beginning.”

There has been much speculation about the state of Kayce’s wife Monica, played by Kelsey Asbille in Yellowstone . Her complete absence in the trailer further fuels that speculation, leaving us with obvious questions — is she dead? Did they separate? We’ll have to stay tuned.
