Emmerdale fans spotted a link with Kev Townsend star and another villager in a rival soap.

Actor Chris Coghill joined Emmerdale earlier this year as Kev Townsend. He was introduced as Robert Sugden's secret prison husband, an unexpected obstacle in the way of Aaron Dingle's happiness.

Although Robert felt compelled to stay with Kev due to his confession of being terminally ill, he decided to split with Kev in order to reignite his relationship with Aaron.

As viewers are also aware, Kev was lying about being terminally ill and has since involved Liam Cavanagh in keeping his secret, as well as forcing him to be a getaway driver in an armed robbery.

Kev's main focus has been to win Robert back, and his obsession has caused him to spiral in recent episodes.
