PEORIA ( 25News Now ) -The German American Central Society of Peoria has a larger place to celebrate and share its culture with the community.
The organization on Sunday held its first Tracht-n-Stein Fest at its new home, called the Lindenhof, at 7403 North Radnor Road.
The group purchased the former Knights of Columbus Hall in August and moved in September. It’s located near Weaver’s Fresh Food and Drink.
There’s enough room for about 300 people, twice the size of the original building. Tracht-n-Stein Fest Chair Bryan Brown said the move was motivated by the need for more exposure and larger space.
