A Lancaster County dog competed in the National Dog Show, which NBC will show on Thanksgiving.
The dog, a Hungarian Mudi named Rue, is 3 years old and has competed in shows since she’s been around 4 to 6 months old. She has won a variety of titles, including Grand Champion Gold, Champion, Fitness Bronze and more.
NBC will show this year’s National Dog Show from noon to 2 p.m. following the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. The show, which was held Nov. 15-16 in Oaks, Montgomery County, is pre-taped.
Rue’s owners, Elizabethtown Animal Hospital veterinary practice manager and lead veterinary technician Jill Distler and e-commerce analyst Zach Weire, say in an email to LNP|LancasterOnline that Rue is “a very special member of our family who brings so much joy to our lives.”
