Nashville International Airport has added hundreds of new passenger parking spaces ahead of the expected increase in travel surrounding the Thanksgiving holiday.
According to a release, BNA’s high-volume passenger days are Nov. 23, Nov. 26 and Nov. 30.
On Nov. 14, the airport opened additional parking in Lot B as part of the first phase of expansion under its massive New Horizon expansion. The two-part project — separated into New Horizon I (Airside) and New Horizon II (Landside) — includes the addition of a second terminal and will cost around $3 billion, according to airport officials.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) expects more than 360,000 flights during what they say will be the busiest Thanksgiving travel period in 15 years.
