A 13-year-old boy suffered critical injuries when he was shot Monday afternoon.

Police responded to the 1800 block of Balkan Place in West Toledo just after 2 p.m. on a report of a person shot.

They found the boy, who had been shot at least once. He was taken to an area hospital. The shooting was still under investigation Monday afternoon.
