PORTLAND, Ore. — The 2025 Taste for Equity gala honoring the region's chefs and winemakers who are BIPOC and LGBTQ+ was a soldout event Friday night.

This year, more than 500 people attended the event. The theme was "Seeds Becoming" and four chefs were in the spotlight, along with an array of winemakers. The dinner menu was curated, with dishes based on their background and roots.

The lead chef was Kiara Hardy, owner of Kitchen Killa Culinary Solutions . She said the main, primary dish for taste was a braised beef collar.
