MCMINNVILLE, Ore. — A 17-year-old McMinnville High School student detained by ICE on Friday was taken into custody because he allegedly used his truck to try to block border patrol agents, according to a statement released Monday from U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

The teen was one of at least nine people who were reportedly detained by ICE in Yamhill County on Friday, according to the immigrant justice group Oregon For All. The teen and one other detained person are U.S. citizens. The group also reported that two other U.S. citizens were detained the day before after filming ICE agents in a parking lot in Canby.
