WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - The Kansas Department of Transportation is letting Wichita drivers know about an upcoming long-term ramp closure.

Starting Dec. 1, the ramp from I-135 North to west Kellogg will be closed. KDOT says the closure is for a bridge replacement and deck rehabilitation.

There will also be lane closures. Two inside lanes will be closed in both directions on I-135, between Lincoln and Douglas. Two inside lanes will also be closed in both directions on Kellogg, from Hillside to Topeka.

A detour will be available during the closure. Northbound drivers on I-135 will continue past the interchange, exit onto 2nd Street, enter southbound I-135, and use the westbound Kellogg exit.

Construction is not expected to be completed until September 2027.
