As the weather turns colder, it's a good reminder that many in our community struggle to stay warm.
WLWT is proud to again team up St. Vincent de Paul for our annual coat drive, and Monday marked their biggest single donation of the year. Advertisement
The Lemasters family donated 1,000 coats to the annual drive. It started as a quick family shopping trip.
“We bought four coats just so we could take the kids and bring them down to St. Vincent de Paul,” said Paul Lemasters.
Now, it’s turned into an annual tradition. They’ve donated thousands of coats since that shopping trip in 2009.
“Every year it gets a little bit bigger,” Lemasters said.
