A shocking and violent incident that occurs this week in Coronation Street leaves Todd Grimshaw ( Gareth Pierce ) trapped in his own home, and it’s all because of Theo Silverton ( James Cartwright ).

Theo has been manipulating Todd for months now, and his need to control every aspect of his partner’s life has also seen Theo physically abuse Todd. Earlier this year, he force-fed Todd a kebab and recently, after Todd damaged his new car, Theo reacted by pouring an entire bottle of milk over his head.

‘I don’t think it’s ever premeditated, he’s not a psychopath, he’s a narcissist I’d say’, star James Cartwright explained.

‘He does these things in that moment of rage and then the cycle of self hatred starts, where he loathes himself, he starts drinking, and then the cycle continues
