PERRY CO., Ind. (WFIE) - Officials with the Perry Central Community School Corporation say it has been named the recipient of the 2025 Hoosier Education Excellence Award by the Indiana Department of Education.

They say Perry Central was the only school corporation in Indiana to receive the honor.

It was presented at the 4th Annual Education Excellence Awards Gala in Indianapolis on November 21.

Leaders say the school corporation was recognized for demonstrating a transformative, student-centered approach to future readiness—grounded in literacy, STEM, and college and career preparation.
