GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) - Multiple arrests were made over the weekend in connection with what Gainesville police officers referred to as a “wave” of vehicle burglaries and stolen firearms.

Officers said in an online post that multiple stolen vehicles have been identified and tied to juvenile suspects.

A shotgun was found inside a stolen Ford Bronco at the Lofts at Oasis on Southwest 35th Place. Jacquavious Green, 17, was charged with armed burglary and grand theft auto and taken to the Juvenile Assessment Center.

Around 9 p.m., officers found a bolt-action rifle and two handguns inside another vehicle reported stolen from Putnam County.

Lil’Terrance Tobler, 18, told officers the vehicle belonged to his “auntie.” He was charged with armed burglary and firearm possession.
