GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) - Marion County Fire Rescue officials said firefighters stopped a shed fire Monday afternoon before it could spread to nearby structures.

Firefighters responded to Southeast 8th Place a little before 5 p.m. Officials said a shed was fully engulfed, threatening nearby buildings and animals.

Firefighters used multiple hose lines to put out the fire. The cause is under investigation.
