MOORHEAD — A sea of blue flooded the orange meeting room of the Moorhead school district office building Monday night, with attendees concerned about the financial future of some teachers.
At least 80 people, many of them wearing blue Education Moorhead gear, packed the school board meeting on Nov. 24.
Christine Berg, president of the Moorhead teachers union, explained to the board the extent that teachers helped get the word out for what turned out to be a successful “Vote Yes” campaign on two referendums in early November.
She said potential voters told them they support teachers and students, but had reservations because they felt district funds have been “misspent” in some ways.
