PARADISE VALLEY, AZ (AZFamily) — A small birthday party at the home of Scottsdale Unified School District Governing Board member Dr. Mathew Pittinsky turned into an uncontrollable gathering of 500 teenagers two weeks ago, according to police reports.
Officers responded to the home near Tatum and Shea Boulevards around 9 p.m. after reports of underage drinking and a large crowd. Police found about 500 kids scattered on the property, with one teen requiring hospitalization for suspected alcohol poisoning.
The police started kicking everyone out. During that time, officers questioned teens who denied drinking or bringing alcohol to the home.
