A Hopkinsville man walking along a road in Trigg County on Saturday was reportedly caught with methamphetamine.
The Trigg County Sheriff’s Office said they were called out to Kings Chapel Road and Caledonia Road to assist a motorist. When they got there, they found a man walking along the road. The deputy gave him a ride to a vehicle that was said to be parked behind an abandoned house in the yard. According to the report, the man said the deputy could search the man and his vehicle. That’s when the deputy found crushed pills and methamphetamine.
The man was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance and methamphetamine.
