COVINGTON, Ky. —
A single Facebook post turned into a holiday crowd at Devou Park on Monday, after a Northern Kentucky HVAC technician decided to spend his slow workday giving out free Christmas photos.
Garrett Gerard, who owns Gerard Heating & Air, set up his 75-year-old red pickup truck at the park’s overlook and posted a picture of it online with a message offering free holiday portraits to anyone who wanted them. Advertisement
“I just wanted to do something nice for the community,” Gerard told WLWT. “We kind of had a slow day, so I was like, what the heck? Let’s take some cute pictures.”
He expected a few friends to stop by.
Instead, more than 150 families from across the Tri-State showed up — many dressed in matching sweaters, Christmas pajamas, and even full elf outfits. At one
