PHOENIX — A Phoenix man is being held on a $3 million cash bond after a road rage incident turned deadly in South Phoenix.

Tyrone Dee Chilly, 28, is facing two counts of murder, among other felony charges, for allegedly opening fire on a family of five, which resulted in the deaths of Envy Cardenas, 8, and her father, Quincy Polk, 30.

According to court records obtained by 12News, Chilly and the victims crossed paths as they were leaving a parking lot near 19th Avenue and Baseline Road last Saturday.

Chilly allegedly told detectives that Polk pulled up close behind his car and honked his horn at him several times.

The two drivers then fought outside of their cars. Chilly claimed Polk hit him several times, and he could not hit back.
